Calendula (also known as marigold) is a plant extract with a wide range of natural and restorative properties. The oil extracted from the petals of the Calendula flower is well-known for helping to soothe and calm irritated skin.

It is so effective at soothing irritated skin, because it contains flavonoids that have anti-inflammatory properties and carotenoids that promote healing and act as an antioxidant. As well as helping to heal the skin, Calendula also helps to plump the skin and can be used to reduce the signs of premature ageing.
