Acne is a skin condition that affects most people at some point in their lives, and it’s not unusual for affected skin to be left with scars. Chilean rosehip oil can be used to reduce the appearance of scars and improve the condition of the skin.
How does it work?
A healthy skin cell has a healthy membrane, which keeps water and nutrients in and allows waste products to pass out. Fatty acids help keep the cell healthy and its membrane functioning. The special composition of omega oils in Rosa Mosqueta oil makes it a valuable source of essential fatty acids (EFAs).
Rosa Mosqueta oil also contains antioxidant vitamin A (in the form of retinoic acid), vitamin C, E and beta-carotene, which all work to reduce the environmental assaults that can damage a cell’s membrane as well as encourage healthy cell development at the basal layer. Over time, the damaged skin cells in the upper layers of the epidermis will be replaced by healthy new cells, and scarring will appear reduced.
How to use:
Apply 1 or 2 drops of rosehip oil to the affected area 2–3 times per day for best results. Expect gradual improvement as it may take up to 5 weeks for each cycle, but best results are achieved after approximately 6 months of continuous use depending upon the age and depth of the scarring.
Please note: rosehip oil shouldn’t be used on active acne.
